Also referred to as Color Therapy, Light Therapy, and Colorology, this is the use of colors to affect a persons health by exposure to colored rooms, lights, crystals, fabrics, eye shades, etc. Color therapy has been utilized for centuries in the East but it was not until the late 1800's that the West took a large interest in the effect of colors on humans.
Fundamentally, it is based on the theory that all light is comprised of a combination of frequencies and each color has a specific frequency of its own. Each frequency has an effect on each person.
During the 1970's-1980's scientific tests have shown a connection between health and colors, in fact, color consultants and psychologists use colors to gain positive results with patients who are or feel ill. This concept is similar to sound therapy, another form of frequency therapy.
